1. The bidder shall evaluate and may accept for trade-in one 2008 Toyota 4x4 Pickup, Registration 1485. 2. The vehicle shall be new and of current 2025/26 manufacture. 3. The vehicle shall be presented as a mini pickup truck with an “access”, or “club” cab and standard-length metal bed and a GCWR of no less than 8000 pounds and a turning radius of no more than 40.7 feet. 4. The vehicle shall be provided with a minimum 3yr/36,000 mile, 5yr/60,000-mile power train warranty and five (5) year anti-corrosion warranty. 5. The vehicle shall be powered by a heavy-duty Four (4) cylinder motor of no less than 2.3 liters displacement, with 278 HP and 265 feet lbs. torque. 6. The vehicle shall be equipped with heavy-duty eight (8) speed automatic transmission with overdrive ratios and an 8.7 inch limited-slip rear differential. 7. The vehicle shall be equipped with power assisted rack and pinion steering. 8. The vehicle shall be equipped with four (4) wheel ABS and power disc brakes. 9. The vehicle shall be equipped with styled steel wheels, P265-60R-118 series tires, front and rear, and delivered with two (2) matching styled steel rims of the same pattern provided with the truck (in addition to the spare tire and wheel). 10. The vehicle shall be equipped with a full-size matching tire and steel wheel as a spare, and two styled steel wheels without tires mounted which match the wheels delivered on the truck in color, dimension and style. 11. The vehicle shall be equipped with heavy-duty steel factory front and rear bumpers and tow hooks or tow rings front and rear. 12. The cab door shall be equipped with dual flat side mirrors and bullet mirrors which allow the driver an unobstructed rear view, and a slide-open rear window. 13. In addition to the manufacturer’s anti-corrosion, the entire underbody, frame, bed, and doors of the vehicle shall be completely rust proofed by an established aftermarket firm to RIDOT Specifications and any rust-proof guarantees shall be provided to the Town at delivery, prior to payment. 14. The vehicle shall be equipped with air conditioning. 15. The vehicle shall be equipped with a weather guard package with black fender guards and the most powerful battery and charging system optionally available from the manufacturer. 16. The vehicle shall be equipped with an AM/FM radio. 17. The vehicle shall be equipped with a Motorola CM 300 Radio and antenna tuned to Town Specified frequencies. 18. The vehicle shall be equipped with a high output heater-defroster system. 19. The vehicle shall be painted non-metallic red (Fire engine, radiant red) with durable upholstery and full carpets. 20. The vehicle shall be equipped with full instrumentation. 21. The vehicle shall be equipped with full available optional skid plates, doorsill protectors, and intermittent windshield wipers. 22. The vehicle shall be equipped with a polycarbonate bed liner and rubberized bedmat. 23. The successful bidder shall complete the necessary title forms and registration forms for the Town and deliver the truck with temporary or permanent plates. Original certificate of origin and a Rhode Island Title Certificate shall be furnished at no additional cost. 24. The Bidder shall sign or initial each page of the bid form and return the entire form intact.
