Under this item, the Contractor shall furnish and place all materials necessary to conduct the Standard Permanent Pavement Repair at the locations identified below under “Trench Repair List for Standard Permanent Pavement Repair”, and at other locations as directed by the Engineer, to a depth of 5". This work shall consist of the removal, and disposal of existing bituminous concrete pavement and existing material to a depth of 5”. It shall be performed in accordance with these specifications unless otherwise specified by the Engineer. The excavated material shall become the property of the Contractor. The excavated area shall include the area identified below with vertically faced edges, not tapered. The entire edges shall be tack coated with an approved material at the appropriate rate. The area will then be paved as noted below. The entire perimeter of the excavated area shall receive a joint sealer. All work shall conform to CTDOT Form 819, with latest supplement, requirements. Roadway Pavement Profile: The City roadway profile will consist of the following: 5 inches of HMA Superpave 0.375 Traffic Level 2 placed in two lifts, a 3 inch binder course and 2 inch top course.
