The bid specifications define the Work of Project and consists of the following: 1. Build a retaining wall at the Harris County High School Tennis Courts; a. Build up the retaining wall in the front area of the tennis courts; b. Grade the area for proper drainage; c. Sod the area created; Specs of the project: Approximately 1440 face feet of Allan Block Wall(Keystone Regal Pro Rockface/Grey in color ). This is a matching wall unit, and the design of the wall is reflective to the adjacent wall on the other side of the stairway. • Approximately 240 tons of 57 aggregate backfill/footing. • 25 outside corner blocks to create a hard angle (90-degree angle) back into the existing grade and 265 linear feet of 4-inch Allan Block caps upon completion of the wall build. • Geogrid will be installed per row of block stacked per engineered specs. Along with weep holes in the wall to reduce hydrostatic pressure and a perforated pipe to maintain ground water drainage. • Approximately 395 tons of dirt will be backfilled to generate the desired grade height. • Approximately 8,400 sq ft of Bermuda sod installation. • Grading and preparation for the front and backside of wall before sod installation. The proposal should include the installation of a silt fence in disturbed areas in duration and/or after the project and mats/plywood for the prevention of disturbing finished areas. Seed and straw will be installed in disturbed dirt areas that sod will not cover.
