Specifications include, but are not limited to: The installation of new storm water infrastructure to replace a failed septic system perimeter drain outlet (i.e., master tile) and new drain tile to replace a failed agricultural drain tile system that includes the downstream end of Henderson Ditch, Arm 12. The overall purpose of the project is to enhance the drainage and storm water management services provided to the surrounding property owners by improving the area’s storm water infrastructure. It generally includes installation of storm sewers, via open trench construction, installation of pipe underdrains, installation of storm sewer structures, installation of drain tile, via open trench construction, and installation of perforated drain tile, via trenchless or open trench construction. The project also includes enhancements to the detention basin serving the Fletcher Estates Subdivision. The project also includes other items incidental to the work, including drain tile investigations to confirm the location, size, depth, and alignment of existing septic system perimeter drain outlets, the creation and maintenance of temporary construction entrances and construction access routes, and the reconstruction of a grassed waterway that will be disturbed during the performance of the work.
