Population Growth and Lots of New Housing

One reason for this growth spurt is an abundance of new housing. This community offers a bus transfer center and commuter rail station providing access to downtown Los Angeles.

SCV is ranked the 3rd safest city in the U.S. by the Home Security and Safety Council and has 15 colleges and universities, bringing a pool of talent into the area. This, along with an abundance of resources, has attracted many technology companies to the area, such as Boston Scientific and Advanced Bionics. Other large companies such as Logix, Merrill Lynch, and LA Turbine have made SCV their home, looking to root their success in the valley.

It is no secret that with this continuous strong population growth comes rises in the procurement budget. The budget for the 2022/2023 fiscal year increased by 21% to $299.3 million.
