Today, the County of Gladwin has officially joined the MITN Purchasing Group to help streamline their bid distribution process. The MITN Purchasing Group is one of Bidnet Direct’s many regional purchasing groups throughout the nation, which offers participating local government agencies an e-procurement solution. The County of Gladwin invites all vendors to register online with the MITN Purchasing Group to access its upcoming solicitations by visiting www.bidnetdirect.com/mitn/countyofgladwin.
Once registered with the MITN Purchasing Group, vendors are able to log on to a centralized location to search for various bid opportunities, download the necessary documents and submit their proposals. By publishing their upcoming solicitations to the regional purchasing group, in addition to their website, the County of Gladwin is able to reach more vendors in their area and throughout the state and provide them with an easier way to access the bid opportunities available. The MITN Purchasing Group also allows the County of Gladwin a way to track all bid activity, including the details of vendors who have received or downloaded a bid. This also gives vendors a chance to see who else is interested in the bid and who they could potentially partner with if necessary.
“There can be some difficulty reaching a high volume of potentially qualified vendors by distributing bids the old way," says Mark Justin, County Administrator of the County of Gladwin. “By joining the MITN Purchasing Group, we are now able to reach vendors not only in our immediate area but across the state. This is beneficial for increasing competition as well as learning more about different suppliers,” he continued.
The County of Gladwin invites all local vendors to visit www.bidnetdirect.com/mitn/countyofgladwin and register to receive access to its upcoming solicitations as well as the upcoming bids and RFPs from 275 other public agencies who are also members of the MITN Purchasing Group. Registered vendors also gain access to a team of experienced customer service support representatives and can upgrade their service to receive customized bid alerts, advanced notice of term contract expiration, and notifications of any posted addendum.
