Notice is hereby given that sealed proposals will be received at the Finance Office, until 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 2, 2022, local time, for furnishing all labor, materials and equipment, and performing all work necessary and incidental to: a Janitorial & Maintenance Services for Middletown Public Library in accordance with the specifications and contract documents within.
Documents are available on the Town of Middletown website, http://finance.middletownri.com/purchasing/vendor-bidder-area/, or at the Town Hall, Finance office.
Proposals shall be delivered and addressed to the Town Finance Director, 350 East Main Rd, Middletown, RI 02842 and shall be labeled MIDD-022-010, by 10:00 Thursday, June 2, 2022. They will be opened and read aloud at that time in the Town Council Chambers, Town Hall. Any Proposer who wishes his proposal to be considered is responsible for making certain that his proposal is received in the Finance Office by the proper time.
A 5% bid bond will be required to be submitted with all bids. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance & payment bond in the amount equal to the contract award if bid is greater than $25,000.
No oral, telegraphic, electronic, facsimile, or telephonic proposals or modifications will be considered unless specified. Proposals received after the scheduled submittal deadline will be returned unopened. Proposals must bear original signatures and figures.
There will be a mandatory pre-proposal meeting on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Middletown Public Library, 700 West Main Road Middletown.
The meeting location is accessible to the handicapped. Individuals requiring interpreter services for the hearing impaired should notify the Town Clerk's Office at 847-0009 not less than 48 hours before the meeting. All questions regarding this RFP must be submitted in writing by 4:00 pm on Thursday, May 19, 2022. Questions received after that time will not be addressed. Questions shall be emailed to mtanguay@middletownri.com. All submitted questions and the town’s written response to each will be available as an addendum on or before Monday, May 23, 2022.
