Estimated Amount of Procurement: The value of this contract is for $257,350.00
General Description of Goods or Services to be acquired: Overdose Prevention Center Pilot.
In the implementation of the City’s Overdose Prevention Strategy, the Department of Housing & Human Services is seeking to use opioid settlement funding to support innovative, forward-looking opioid remediation strategies. Providence will be the site of the first state-sanctioned “Opioid Prevention Centers” in the United States.
Project Weber/RENEW is the sole vendor in Rhode Island with a license to operate an Overdose Prevention Center and will provide safer drug use practices (medical supervision, testing, and naloxone administration) and recovery supports. This contract will support staffing and supplies at
this critical facility.
An affected Person may comment on the intent to establish a Contract. Unless otherwise specified in this notice, the policy requires submission of the written comment within seven (7) days after the first date of public notice, shown below.
