Description

The Town of Smithfield (Town), through this Request for Proposals (RFP), is soliciting proposals from qualified, private companies to operate and maintain the Town's Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF), wastewater Pumping Stations and wastewater Collection System, all such facilities defined herein as the Managed Assets. The term of the contract for operation and maintenance services will be one of three alternatives: 1. Ten-year base term with up to two five-year extensions, such extensions shall be at the Town’s sole discretion under the terms and conditions at the time of the renewal. 2. Fifteen-year base term with one five-year extension, such extension shall be at the Town’s sole discretion under the terms and conditions at the time of the renewal. 3. Twenty-year term with no extensions authorized. It is anticipated that the services will commence on or around May 14, 2023.

The term of the contract for operation and maintenance services will be one of three alternatives:
