The RI Department of Correction (RIDOC) is looking for a multifunctional printer, black and white, with an ID collector to pilot in one facility where offenders can print out case law documents. Offenders currently have access to Lexis Nexis (LexisNexis® inmate law library solutions help facilities comply with state mandates and provide inmates with a thorough, secure and compliant library collection). Offenders have the law librarians printing out any case law or cases. RIDOC is looking for a solution where the offender can scan in his/her badge (which contains a barcode with the offenders ID) and allow them to print. The printer needs to be able to print a report monthly with the number of pages each offender prints so that their offender accounts can be charged back.
