Reconditioning Existing Altitude Valves at Bald Hill Road Water Tanks
The Manufacturer for the parts is GA Industries (GAI), Mars, PA. Serial number 70111 (the serial number will tell the factory which pilot valves to provide pricing on)
The existing 24 inch GAI figure #33 double acting altitude valve will be completely disassembled, cleaned and inspected. The piston and liner will be removed. Both will be inspected and resurfaced. All internal seals will be replaced. Linear cup and piston cups will be replaced. The lower soft seal will be replaced. The annular port and valve position indicator will be repacked. The valve will be reassembled and rested. No leakage will be allowed at the annular port in the “full close” or “full open” position.
The existing pilot controls will be completely disassembled, cleaned and inspected. All seals will be replaced in the altitude pilot valve and the 3-way low pressure valve. The internal bronze pilot will be replaced. All interconnecting piping will be flushed. Strainer will be cleaned. The valve will be tested and the pilot will be adjusted to close the valve at 30’-6”. No leakage will be allowed at the pilot manifold drain with the valve in “full close” or “full open” position.
In the event that the Piston, Liner, Altitude Pilot, or Low Pressure Pilot are not repairable, pricing shall be provided to furnish and install these individual parts.
