It is the intent of The State Fiscal Accountability Authority (SFAA), Department of Procurement Services (DPS) to solicit on behalf of the College of Charleston (College) proposals for the management and operation of the College of Charleston Bookstore and retail locations and related services in accordance with the requirements stated herein. The scope of operation will include but will not be limited to procurement and sale of new textbooks, used textbooks, textbook rentals, electronic/digital books, reference and trade books, stationery, student supplies, clothing, spirit items, fraternity and sorority items, and other merchandise items now sold in the College Bookstore and at retail locations and additional non-consumable items that are normally sold in a college bookstore or retail operation. Services shall include but not be limited to providing special book orders and distance learning course materials; used textbook purchase (buyback); copyright clearance and course packs; as well as providing other services ordinarily made available in college bookstores. The scope of the bookstore and retail locations operations may include the limited sale of drinks, snacks, candy bars, and other items for consumption, provided that this does not conflict with other contractual obligations of the College.
