Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor shall provide the University community with a full range of services reasonably expected from a quality academic bookstore and maintain sufficient quantities of specified editions of textbooks, related supplies, and materials (as required or recommended by faculty) for academic courses on site and available for purchase by students at the specific times the items are needed. The Contractor shall ensure the specified editions of textbooks are available for sale. The Contractor agrees that the selection of course text is considered an academic matter and shall be the decision of the faculty members. The Contractor shall provide textbooks in accordance with pricing requirements set forth in this solicitation. The Contractor shall minimize out-of-stock situations on textbooks and other products. The Contractor shall provide a wide selection of current trade, academic, and technical literature in support of required material for the academic disciplines of the University. The Contractor shall offer a significant selection of “non-book items or soft goods” for the convenience of students and staff, including, but not limited to office and art supplies, computer supplies, incidental household goods for resident students, personal care items, University insignia, wearing apparel, stationery, memorabilia, and other related items under pricing policies that are both fair and competitive for like or similar quality as compared to other bookstores and retail establishments in the surrounding area.
