Specifications include, but are not limited to: It is the intent of the State Procurement Office, to solicit proposals from qualified offerors on behalf of Horry Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) for bookstore operations. The College is seeking an experienced and responsible Contractor to furnish all financial resources, management, labor, equipment, goods, services, and supplies necessary to manage and operate a professional bookstore that will provide the highest caliber of services to the College community. The College’s overall goal in soliciting a Contractor to provide bookstore management services is to ensure that the highest level of financial effectiveness, service, and satisfaction is being provided to all of its campuses. It is essential that the bookstore be managed with maximum responsiveness to the needs and concerns of our students, faculty, and staff. Products, prices, and services must promote confidence that the College community is obtaining the best possible combination of quality, customer service, and value. A dedication to providing quality customer service and merchandise to a diverse group of customers consisting of students, faculty, staff, College Departments, Campus Organizations, alumni, prospective students and their families, and other guests/visitors to our college is expected. A critical aspect in meeting the foregoing goals is the identification, selection, and retention of a highly knowledgeable and first-rate on-site Bookstore General Manager. In order to achieve the goals of the College’s Bookstore program, the Contractor shall adopt the objectives listed below in managing the bookstore. These objectives are intended to preserve the integrity of the College Bookstore operation, but not restrict creativity or competition. Offerors are encouraged to propose practical, innovative improvements to bookstore programs and operations that emphasize quality and economy of price to the consumer.
