Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor shall operate a physical store on campus and provide the College community with a full range of course materials, new textbooks, digital textbooks, custom published materials, general books, reference books, supplies, gift cards to 3rd party vendors, computer/technology supplies, general merchandise, emblematic clothing, gifts, limited selection of convenience items, health, and beauty aids (HBA’s), special order services, graduation regalia and graduation related merchandise, class rings, and other services expected from a full-service campus store. The successful Contractor will provide a high standard of service and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction with the Bookstore Operations. Services include providing the labor, management, equipment, goods, operating supplies, and merchandise necessary to manage and operate professional bookstores that will provide the highest caliber of services on YTC campus. The Contractor shall operate the Campus Store on its own credit and shall furnish at its own expense, all merchandise, equipment, labor, supplies, and services required to perform its duties and responsibilities as required by the College. Funding sources are expected to be debt free, 100% equity financing. The Contractor must maintain a financially responsible and fiscally sound bookstore management and operations and maintain excellent accountability and financial reporting to the College in accordance with the objectives and other requirements contained herein and in compliance will all relevant laws, rules and regulations, and College Policies. The Contractor shall have the sole responsibility for maintaining these facilities in an acceptable manner and to the standards of the Institution. The Contractor shall accept the delivery of their orders directly without any obligation of the College to accept deliveries in the absence of Campus Store personnel. The Contractor agrees to coordinate with the College’s facilities management personnel to schedule any deliveries requiring use of the loading dock. As a vital component of the College, the bookstore is a visual representation of the academic quality and image of the College. Contractor shall have campus bookstore operational by July 1, 2024.
