Study Design The qualified consultant will be responsible for developing a comprehensive study that will accurately capture the direct and indirect costs of child abuse and neglect in South Carolina. The study should utilize data from Children’s Trust, the South Carolina Department of Social Services, and other necessary sources. Applicants should detail the method(s) they will use to calculate these costs in their submission. Study Presentation Children’s Trust aims to use the study completed by the qualified vendor as evidence that the costs of child abuse and neglect are higher than the cost of preventing child abuse and neglect. In this respect, the chosen vendor will be asked to be made available for presentations of the completed study to stakeholders including but not limited to the Children’s Trust Board of Directors, the General Assembly, and the media.
