Specifications include, but are not limited to: Independently, and not as an agent of the government, the contractor shall provide all design-build exhibit services including labor, materials, equipment, facilities and travel necessary to provide SCPRT’s Redcliffe Plantation State Historic Site with the development of interpretive exhibits. Exhibits may include, but are not limited to, graphic panels, display cases, audiovisual presentations, interactive elements, photographs, murals, display transparencies, dimensional maps and displays, artifact mounts, interior signage, seating, structural elements such as display walls, platforms, barriers, and other display support structures. Under this design-build exhibit services contract the scope of work will include planning, design, graphic design, fabrication, and installation of exhibits. This exhibit should draw inspiration from the existing exhibit in the park visitor center. Content development may include creation and production of audiovisual and interactive elements and editing of text. Project management skills are required to orchestrate the multiple creative, professional, and technical specialties necessary to complete the project. The contractor is responsible for all work required under this contract, including the work of all subcontractors. The contractor is responsible for managing the transition from planning and design to production as well as all licensing and insurance needed for their employees and for the completion of this project. The contractor will not be responsible for developing interpretive text, but is expected to work closely with SCPRT staff to edit text that has already been drafted by park staff. SCPRT staff will provide contractor with content, including text and image lists. SCPRT staff will identify images and their sources, and in some cases will supply the contractor with digital copies of images. However, in most cases, the contractor will be responsible for acquiring high resolution digital copies of images and any audio/visual material from archival repositories. The contractor will also be responsible for image reproduction and use fees as required by respective institutions.
