Spartanburg County School District Five invites qualified music vendors to submit proposals for servicing the instrumental music program. The selected vendor(s) agrees to adhere to the criteria established by the instrumental music teachers, and agrees to provide all necessary services to all middle and high schools in the District. It will be the practice of District Five to allow only the selected vendor to be present at all school parent meetings for beginning band and orchestra students. However, parents will be invited and encouraged to seek rental and/or sale prices from any vendor they choose. They will, in no way, be expected to purchase or rent from the selected vendor who will be present at the meetings. The selected vendor will also be allowed to display step-up instruments at public performances when previously agreed upon. Please note: the District may select different vendors to serve the band program and the orchestra program, should it be necessary and advantageous to the District. The selected vendor agrees to have a qualified road representative employed for the duration of the contract. Failure to have adequately qualified staff could be cause for termination of the contract.
