Create the strategic plan to align the vision, mission, leadership, and activities of the Innovation Campuses. This phase should categorize each campus (e.g., research park, site, lab, etc. as recommended) and assess the implications of those designations on management, marketing, and academic/research strategies. Deliverables include: • Evaluate and propose recommendations as to how Innovation Campuses should be categorized in the future (i.e. Innovation Campus vs. research park, site, lab, etc.) and the implications of those designations with respect to scope of activities, management, marketing and communications. Integrate best practices from peers and aspirants, including successful research parks at other universities. • Recommend any changes necessary for effective leadership and management of the Innovation Campuses. The structure should facilitate alignment between university divisions while allowing for strategic direction to be set by leadership. • Propose opportunities for strategic investments to expand the academic offerings of each Innovation Campus, particularly focused on programs related to the respective campuses research activities or needs specific to each region of the state. Consider new programs, related or unrelated to current Innovation Campus offerings.
