1. The Contractor shall clean and maintain linen and laundry (specified in Section VIII, Bid Schedule) in accordance with generally accepted quality standards for mass processed laundry, meeting all applicable federal and state laws and regulations. 2. SCVRD will return any improperly cleaned linen and laundry and the Contractor shall replace without additional charge to the SCVRD. The Contractor shall sustain less than a one percent (1%) rejection rate of improperly cleaned linen and laundry. 3. All sheets and pillowcases shall be finished with a flatwork ironer. All other linen and laundry shall be fluff-dried and folded. 4. Contractor must return clean linen and laundry to the designated areas in hampers (i.e. bulk delivery trucks) with non-marking casters, covered in polyethylene. The hampers must be sanitized before clean linen and laundry is placed in hampers for delivery. 5. Soiled and/ or clean linen and laundry shall not be mixed on the same delivery truck. Mixing soiled linen and clean linen on the same room/area and in this case a truck is considered potential for cross contamination. For example, clean linen could be delivered to each building and then the delivery truck could go back to pick up soiled linen. 6. Packing slips shall be affixed to each hamper (i.e. bulk delivery trucks) and delivered showing quantity and content. 7. Items will be in industry standard bundles when delivered to each center. 8. The Contractor shall include replacement linen costs in unit price. This includes damaged and/or normal wear and tear of linen, as needed, and to be determined by SCVRD and the Contractor. 9. The Contractor shall have a territorial service representative that will aid with supervision and training for Contractor linen and laundry services. The service representative shall be a full-time employee of the Contractor and not a subcontractor. 10. The Contractor will offer in-house educational training for SCVRD staff on proper handling of linen (clean or soiled) to include infection control, proper bags, etc. The training will be as needed, but no more than semi-annually and/or at the request of SCVRD or Contractor...
