1) The Contractor will furnish all materials and labor to satisfactorily complete the modernization on the back elevator located at the Georgetown County Courthouse, 129 Screven Street, Georgetown, SC to include but not limited to the following: a) Machine Room Equipment: Supply and install new MCE Motion 2000 Microprocessor Based Nonproprietary Hydraulic Control System, new SolidState Starter, and provide new submersible power unit. b) Elevator Entrances & Door Equipment: Supply & install new interlocks, new GAL “Closed Loop” Door Operator, new Infrared Light Curtain Door Protection Edge, hoistway door rollers, new car door clutch, new car door rollers, new car door closer. c) Elevator Car: Refurbish or replace existing slide car guides. Provide new car fan and new car top inspection station. d) Hoistway Equipment: Provide new Elevator Landing System, new elevator traveling cable and insulated wiring, new Hoistway Access key switches. e) Elevator Fixtures & Signaling Devices: Provide new Stainless Steel hall call button stations, new “In Car” Direction Riding Lantern, audible direction signal, new Stainless Steel Car Operation Panel, new Code Compliant Emergency Car Lighting with back up battery, new ADA compliant emergency phone integral to car operation panel that is self-dialing, push to call, auto dialing with recall tracking and voiceless communication features. f) Elevator Pit Equipment: Provide new elevator pit stop switch accessible for access door 2) All work will be performed during a weekend while offices are closed, 8:00AM to 5:00PM, by skilled mechanics employed by the Contractor. 3) The Contractor will be responsible for all taxes and necessary permits. 4) The Contractor will be responsible for all movement and hoisting of any new or reused equipment, or dismantling and removal of existing equipment to, on and from the site and will provide hoistway, pit, and machine room barricades as required. 5) The Contractor will be responsible for disposal of any and all removed, unused and surplus materials and any fees and transportation costs associated with the disposal. 6) The Contractor will perform tests as required by the Governing Authority in accordance with the procedure described in ASME A17.2 Guide for Inspection of Elevators Escalators, and Moving Walks in the presence of an authorized representative and be equipped to comply with up-to-date coding requirements for Special Emergency Service Operations. 7) All equipment supplied and installed shall not be proprietary and shall include full disclosure of operating parameters and include operating documents.
