Anderson District Two is seeking proposals from firms with the qualifications to submit proposals for general contracting services. The project is a new middle school to be constructed on land the district owns behind Belton-Honea Path High School. The new middle school for 1,000 students will be approximately 140,000 square feet. The school will likely be one story with a full size gymnasium, cafeteria and kitchen, media center, band, chorus, art studio, STEM lab and Ag Ed as well as classroom space. Prior to construction of the new school, the bus parking lot and maintenance facility will have to be relocated to property the school district own across Belton Honea Path Highway. Site work includes demolition of the bus parking and maintenance facilities, new drives, widening the existing drive between the field house and the baseball stadium, construction of a new track and practice field. Programming documents are being prepared and pdf’s will be shared at the Pre-Qualifications Conference.
