Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. The ordering of prescription medications shall be made by computer, telephone or facsimile. All prescriptions are ordered per the instructions of Greenville county Prescribers. Orders will be sent at any time during a 24-hour period. Deliveries are desired no later than following day, depending on the time the order is placed. Orders will be placed 7-days a week, with delivery to occur, at minimum 6-days a week via courier. 2. The consultant will accept unused medications back from Greenville County for redistribution or destruction. The vendor should outline their retrieval system and any credits offered. 3. Vendors should outline each aspect of their delivery system in detail. 4. Greenville County is accustomed to medication being packaged in Inmate Specific prepackaged dispensable format. The County requires packaging system to be available for integration, at no cost to the County, with scanning of Inmate armbands using barcode technology. The chosen vendor must be able to interface the pharmacy orders, records and medications within the County's electronic record. The County's electronic medical record vendor is CorrecTek.
