The Greenwood County Volunteer Fire Service is responsible for providing firefighting, ASHI certified Emergency Medical Response, and rescue services to the residents and businesses within Greenwood County except for the land area served by the City of Greenwood Fire Department. Our volunteer service operates with a dedicated team of volunteers committed to protecting life, property, and the environment. As part of our risk management strategy, we seek comprehensive insurance coverage to mitigate potential liabilities and protect the valuable assets for the citizens of Greenwood County. This coverage will include all Volunteer Stations, apparatus and equipment not owned by Greenwood County. This will include property owned by The Town of Troy Fire Department, Promised Land Fire Department, Northwest Volunteer Fire Department, Hodges Cokesbury Fire Department, Ware Shoals Fire Department, Coronaca Fire Department, Lower Lake Fire Department, Epworth Phoenix Fire Department, Ninety-Six Fire Department, Hwy 34 Fire Department, Callison Fire Department, and the Tri-County Fire Department.
