The primary goal of this project is to facilitate a smooth transition from the County’s current vendor app to a new and improved solution as seamless as possible for our residents. The County of Lexington provides permission for our current vendor to provide this software as a service through County owned and operated Google Play and Apple App Stores and this will continue with the new solution. The SaaS tools should at a minimum include the requirements outlined below. 3.1 Calendar - Collection requirements, reminders, drop-off locations, and event information: Icons or colors for different types of calendars should be available: EX// Recycling Day = Blue, Drug-Drop-Off Day= Red, Adopt-A-Highway Day= Orange, heavy trash day and unique trash day (I.E. Christmas Tree collection) 3.1.1 Ability for County to add event layer to include all districts and subscribers for events such as Adopt- A-Highway Cleanups, HHW events and other special events. 3.1.2 Easy to add/adjust dates of pick up. Holidays or other factors. 3.1.3 Allows users to add addresses and automatically populate trash days for address. Also, an option to add multiple addresses (multiple residence) 3.2 Notifications – Residents who download the mobile app will automatically receive notifications. 3.2.1 Web-Based Application – Using the web-based application, residents can sign up for email, app or phone call notifications. 3.2.2 Customizable Notifications – Reminders and notifications can be customized by the resident by selecting which schedule they want to be notified about. Residents will have the option to toggle notifications off in the mobile app or cancel them in the web app. 3.2.3 Reminders to stay in place – Reminders currently in existence with the Lexington County Solid Waste tool will be maintained if transitioning to a new platform...
