Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor/Carrier shall provide student accident insurance coverage and plan administration for undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at Coastal Carolina University, as per the State of South Carolina applicable standards under South Carolina Code of Laws, Title 38 – Insurance (http://www.scstatehouse.gov/code/title38.php). 3.2 Contractor shall have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in providing student accident insurance and related claims administration services for institutions/systems of higher education. 3.3 Contractor/Carrier shall provide accident insurance coverage for approximately 10,000 FTE students who are properly enrolled, including international and graduate students. The plan will provide benefits and reimbursement to full time students for covered expenses incurred for the covered student’s care, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year (24/7/365), with no territorial restrictions. An FTE student is defined as any student who is properly registered and enrolled in a course load consisting of a minimum of twelve (12) hours for an undergraduate student and nine (9) hours for a graduate student, in scheduled day and/or night courses offered by the University. 3.4 The Contractor/Carrier must state a price for coverage of all full-time students that includes coverage for participation in intercollegiate NCAA activities. 3.5 Contractor/Carrier shall provide coverage for services that are not available through the University’s campus health center (such as orthopedic services, x-rays, etc.).
