The City of Box Elder will be accepting sealed bids for the RDF2022-04 Damview, Elm and Trail Drive Reconstruction Project, until 2:00 PM local time, June 16, 2022, at the Box Elder City Hall, 420 Villa Drive, Box Elder, South Dakota, 57719.
This project in general includes the reconstruction of approximately 1,300 linear feet of Damview Road, Elm Court and Trail Drive, including app. 2,293 tons of asphalt paving, 3,829 tons of aggregate base course, grading and drainage improvements, 190 linear feet of 12-inch storm pipe, 560 linear feet of 18-inch storm pipe, 78 linear feet of 24-inch storm pipe, adjustment of 7 manholes and site stabilization and restoration.
Bidders shall review the work areas to verify the quantities of work for the project.

A pre-bid meeting will be held on Thursday June 2, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. (MST) at the Box Elder City Hall, 420 Villa Drive, Box Elder, SD 57719. A site visit will follow depending on weather conditions.
Bidders must have access to a current set of City of Box Elder Standard Construction Specifications, which can be found on the City’s website at https://www.boxelder.us/city-departments/engineering/. All public improvements are required to conform to these specifications and bid prices must reflect these specifications.
Bids may not be withdrawn prior to thirty (30) days after the bid opening. The Owner will award the bid within ten (10) days after the bid opening.
The Owner and Contractor hereby acknowledges that time of completion of the work is of vital importance, and the Contractor will be required to complete the work within the time stipulated in the contract. Regardless of actual construction start date, all work specified in the contract documents for Trail Drive must be completed in every respect and ready for final payment no later than August 19, 2022; and all work specified for Damview Road and Elm Court must be substantially complete no later than October 15, 2022 and completed in every respect and ready for final payment no later than October 31, 2022.
