This document represents a list of features and requirements for a new fish transport tank for McNenny State Fish Hatchery. The tank will have one insulated compartment, approximately 650 gallons, a single 12” Valterra rear discharge, and made to the following specifications. Please see drawings for locations of specific items on the transport tank. Tank Construction: (Figure 1) • Main External Tank Body 87” Long x 48” Wide x 36” Tall • 1/4” Thick Inner Tank walls and 1/8” Outer Aluminum Skin o 5052 Grade Aluminum o No Paint, leave bare aluminum • 1” R-11 foam insulation • Access lid 48” long x 30” Wide o Gasketed flush fit lid with stainless steel toggle clamps and appropriately sized handle o Continuous piano style hinge o Silicone rubber seals o 2 toggle clamps ▪ One on each side of lid for closure o Gas shocks o Insulated o Opens passenger side of truck • 2 Ram air vents • Snap-tite, 1”, marine drain plug, located on drivers side of tank, 4” on center from top of tank for overflow protection External Tank Features: (Figure 2) • 2 Fresh Flo Corp Model TT Aerators o Installed equidistant apart on the driver side of vehicle o Two Stainless toggle clamps to secure aerators o Cage built around inlet inside of tank (see picture; Figure 3) ▪ ¼” perforated aluminum o Imbedded, stranded 12-guage copper wiring to each aerator terminated at conventional duplex receptacle outlet with weatherproof cover o Electrical source wiring will be stubbed out on the drivers’ side of tank on the top left corner. ▪ Stub out wires 7” from front of tank and 5” down from top of tank (Figure 5) o We will install the 20 amp-12V breakers and NEMA connection box. • Picking eyes at top corners, front and rear facing • Tank Mounting Brackets on each corner of tank o Brackets facing either side of truck, see Figure 2 for exact locations o 3” angle welded to tank (5” wide) • No fork lift skids • No oxygen monitor • No Oxygen manifold (We will use our existing setup) • No Oxygen rack Internal Tank Features • 2 each 27.5” air stones o Pentair Point Four (model# 1DMBDC600) o Mounted inside tank on drivers side wall ▪ ¼” aluminum angled down towards floor ▪ See picture (Figure 4) for mounting orientation o Small sealed and welded hole on top of each side of tank for oxygen lines • Sloped floor to drain o No sub-floor • Two internal baffles o 12” Tall o Installed internally across tank running directly underneath the front and rear margins of the access lid opening (Figure 2) o Top of baffle should be 6 inches below the top of the tank Discharge Features • 12” knife gate rear discharge o Valterra valve mounted externally from tank o 12” ring lock with 8” adapter and dust cap
