The University of Tennessee Libraries (Libraries) seeks a vendor-supported, hosted editorial workflow and publishing service to replace its bepress Digital Commons-hosted V.O.L Journals platform. The platform must be based on an open-source solution and hosted and supported by the vendor. V.O.L Journals hosts active open-access scholarly journals and scholarly proceedings. The project will include migration of all journal information, including volume/issue structure, administrative and descriptive metadata (e.g. editorial decisions and date/time, licenses) to the new platform. The Libraries will evaluate vendor characteristics, platform functionality, references, and platform demonstration by each vendor to select the best overall solution. The Vendor must supply in the response to this Request for Proposal answers to each item identified below.
