Specifications include, but are not limited to: The State of Tennessee, Department of Commerce and Insurance, Regulatory Boards Division (“Division”) is responsible for regulating several hundred thousand Tennesseans in their professions and businesses. The Commissioner of the Department of Commerce and Insurance, boards, commissions, or other governmental entities administratively attached to the Department of Commerce and Insurance, has statutory authority under Tennessee Code Annotated Title 62, Title 20, or Title 16 to establish initial and continuing education requirements for professionals who are licensed, registered, or certified with the Division (“licensees”). These requirements are established through rules and regulations promulgated in accordance with the provisions of the Uniform Administrative Procedures Act (“UAPA”).
