The selected contractor will administer evaluations at the request of York’s special education staff to students suspected of an education disability or as a part of the re-evaluation process for students currently receiving special education services. These evaluations will be used to determine whether a child is eligible, or continues to be eligible under IDEA to receive special education and related services. The selected contractor will score and interpret the evaluation results to determine each student’s individual needs. The evaluation report will contain the testing results, comparisons to students of the same age’s peer group, purpose of the test (academics, social, or emotional etc.) and the selected contractor’s recommendations moving forward. The selected contractor is required to hold a valid school services personnel license with a school psychologist endorsement or must be actively seeking a practitioner school service license. The selected contractor will complete the evaluation and submit a written evaluation report within forty-five (45) days of a parental/guardian’s consent form being completed. The selected contractor will conduct all evaluations on York’s campus at the time(s) agreed upon by York’s special education director.
