Summary of Specifications:
BexarMet is seeking Requests for Proposal (RFP) for services from an experienced website design firm to redesign the District’s existing website. The current site structure was developed years ago and requires significant revamping to take advantage of new design elements and the growing demand for electronic services. It is BexarMet’s wish to redesign the site to better serve our customers by improving their user experience, establish a stronger corporate presence on the Internet, to support e-government transactions, such as online bill pay, online form and applications, and a variety of other activities. This project will encompass a graphical and functional redesign of the BexarMet Water District’s Internet website. The project will improve upon the usability, navigation and “look and feel” of the website, as well as provide a Content Management System (CMS) backend that would allow content managers to easily and quickly make changes to the site. The website should encompass a Web 2.0 methodology that gives the District a professional and corporate aesthetic look. The full scope of the project is identified in SECTION 6 of this document, which includes project assumptions, functional, non-functional and user interface requirements.
