2025-00-01:Elam Road at Shepherd Lane RT Lane Project - Elam Road at Shepherd Lane Right Turn (RT) Lane Project

Scope of Work.
The work under this contract includes furnishing all labor, tools, material, and equipment, and for
performing all work necessary for construction of: right-turn lane improvements on the west leg and south
leg of the intersection of Elam Road at Shepherd Lane. The work generally includes construction of
concrete pavement right-turn lanes, concrete curb and gutter, pavement markings and delineators,
sidewalk, pedestrian ramps, and signal modifications. Work also includes traffic control, erosion control,
and any other work deemed necessary by the City of Balch Springs. All of the above shall be done in
accordance with NCTCOG specifications, with the City of Balch Springs’s Addenda and as per
instructions of the OWNER. All construction sequencing and barricading will be done according to the
City of Balch Springs Standards and Details and TxDOT’s Manual for Uniform Traffic Control Devices
(MUTCD), unless work occurs within TxDOT ROW, in which case TxDOT standards will apply.
