S19-018 CSJ 0914-05-199 - Request for Qualifications for S. West Sidewalk Improvements

City seeks Professional Engineering Services for the design and construction administration of the S. West Sidewalk Improvements.  The new construction of the Sidewalk will be built on City-owned right-of-way with the potential of easement access acquisition. The total length of sidewalk is approximately 1,200 feet with a width of 5 feet.
 
Professional services for this project include but are not limited to:

1. 1. Scope Definition;
   2. Field Surveying;
   3. Drainage Study;
   4. Environmental Clearance (Categorical Exclusion);
   5. Schematic Engineering Design;
   6. Quality Assurance Program;
   7. Project Specification Development;
   8. Construction Documentation Preparation;
   9. Bid Notice and Administration; and
   10. Construction Administration Services.
       The S. West Sidewalk Improvement Project will design and construct a concrete sidewalk to extend along the western side of S. West Drive from just south of Horseshoe Drive connecting just north of Lion Drive in Leander, Texas.
       The project is currently federally funded by the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) 2019-2022 Project Call, managed by the City of Leander with oversight by TxDOT. Therefore, the project must comply with TxDOT’s FHWA-approved Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program requirements; comply with TxDOT procedures for environmental review and approval, and obtain TxDOT approval of plans, specifications, and estimate prior to advertising for bidding.
