1. PURPOSE: The City of Leander, herein after “City”, seeks to enter into an agreement with a
qualified Individual, Firm or Corporation, (Respondent), to provide one (1) new and unused Hydro
Excavation Vacuum Truck, herein “Truck”, to be used by the Leander Public Works Department.
2. EXAMPLE SPECIFICATION: The Leander Public Works Department has researched differing styles
of Vacuum Trucks and has determined that the published specification is suited for the department’s
needs in terms of quality, features and minimum performance specifications. This specification shall
not be interpreted as restrictive but rather as a measure of performance by which other trucks will be
compared.
The City seeks to maintain quality, reliability and efficiency within its vehicle fleet. With this goal in
mind a manufacturer’s product has been specified herein to establish the City’s minimum critical
requirements and performance standards for the truck. Any example shown is listed to show type
and class of equipment desired only. Alternate equivalent items will be considered and are noted as
“or equal” on item descriptions
Alternate equivalent makes and models will be considered.
The City will accept bids on new 2019 and 2020 vehicles.
