The City of San Marcos is soliciting sealed bids to be received in the Office of the Purchasing Manager, Building 4, 630 E. Hopkins St., San Marcos, TX 78666, as outlined below:
Solicitation Number: IFB 2025-056 Police Station Improvements
Scope of Project: Includes but is not limited to demolition and complete reconstruction of the Police Department training driving track, concrete demolition and footing installation for a pre-engineering metal building canopy structure, installation of approximately 260 ft of conduit to power future gates (by others) and site preparation of the existing shooting range for installation of a future bullet trap (by others) including all required concrete and electric work at the San Marcos Police Station. The estimated construction cost for this project is $1,657,787.

Bidders must submit a cashier’s check, certified check, or acceptable bidder’s bond with their bid in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid submitted.
A non-mandatory pre-bid video conference will be held on February 11, 2025, at 2:00 P.M., Local Time. Requests for access to video conference must be submitted to RShelton@sanmarcostx.gov at least 30 minutes prior to the pre-bid videoconference.
Bids must be received in the Office of the Purchasing Manager, Building 3, 630 E. Hopkins St., San Marcos, TX 78666, no later than March 6, 2025, at 2:00 P.M., Local Time, and will be conducted via videoconferencing. Teams meeting link is included in solicitation.
Award is scheduled for the May 6, 2025, City Council meeting at 6:00 p.m. or any subsequent time unless otherwise rescheduled.
