The City of San Marcos is soliciting sealed bids to be received in the Office of the Purchasing Manager, Building 4, 630 E. Hopkins St., San Marcos, TX 78666, as outlined below:
Solicitation Number: IFB 223-126 Midway St. Utility Improvements
Scope of Project: Includes but is not limited to approximately 2,225 LF new 8-inch diameter PVC wastewater line, 884 LF new 8-inch diameter PVC waterline, 178 LF trenchless installation of 18-inch steel casing, 11 wastewater manholes, 5 gate valves, and associated traffic control and restoration along Midway Street, Perkins Street, Alto Street, Waco Street, Alley A and Alley B. The estimated construction cost is $1,265,000.

Bidders must submit a cashier’s check, certified check, or acceptable bidder’s bond with their bid in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid submitted.
A non-mandatory pre-bid video conference will be held on March 14, 2023, at 2:00 P.M., Local Time. Access instructions to the pre-bid video conference can be located at www.sanmarcostx.gov/eprocurement.
Bids must be received in the Office of the Purchasing Manager, Building 4, 630 E. Hopkins St., San Marcos, TX 78666, no later than April 13, 2023, at 2:00 P.M., Local Time, and will be conducted via videoconferencing. Instructions for access to the video-conference can be located at the top of the www.sanmarcostx.gov/eprocurement site.
Award is scheduled for the June 6, 2023, City Council meeting at 6:00 p.m. or any subsequent time unless otherwise rescheduled.
