The City of Taylor will receive bids for 2019 Street
Maintenance Project until 2:00 pm on Th ursday, July
11, 2019 at 400 Porter Street, Taylor, TX 76574. Th e
bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 2:00 pm
on Th ursday, July 11, 2019 at 400 Porter Street, Taylor,
TX 76574 in the council chambers.
Bids are invited for several items and quantities of
work as follows:
1. 18,520 SY of 1.5” Mill & TY D Overlay w/ RAP
2. 276 SY of additional 4.5” Mill and TY B w/ RAP
Bid/Contract Documents, including Drawings and
Technical Specifi cations, may be acquired from Texas
Purchasing Group by Texas Bid Net Direct at:

A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid
issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with
each bid.
Bidders are expected to inspect the site of the work and
to inform themselves regarding all local conditions
prior to submitting bids.
Bidders are encouraged to attend a pre-bid conference
on Monday, July 1, 2019 at 10:00 am at the City of
Taylor City Hall, 400 Porter St., Taylor, TX 76574.
Questions pertaining to the project shall be collected
via email and distributed via addendum. The deadline
for questions will be Friday July 5, 2019 by Noon.

Bids may be held by City of Taylor for a period not to
exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for
the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating
the bidder’s qualifi cations prior to the contract award.
In case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating
proposal prices, the City of Taylor reserves the right
to adopt the most advantageous construction thereof,
or to reject any or all proposals
Upon acceptance of successful bid and contract
execution, the method of payment to the successful
Contractor from the City of Taylor for any work
performed under this project shall be made by check.
