ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS The City of Taylor (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: FM 973 Water and Wastewater Line Improvements Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the City of Taylor City Hall, located at 400 Porter Street, Taylor Texas 76574, until Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 2:00 PM local time. At 2:15 PM, the bids will be opened publicly and read aloud in person and via WebEx video conference. The proposals shall be sealed. The project name and Contractor’s name shall be identifiable on the cover. Bidders are encouraged to test the link in advance of the opening to verify functionality. https://meethdr.webex.com/meethdr/j.php?MTID=m60e20f8e7c97cf229d71de2dbf689630 The project work includes the following: • Base Bid: Installation of approximately 9,200 linear feet of 18-inch ductile iron water line, and installation of approximately 12,030 linear feet of 18-inch PVC gravity wastewater line along FM 973 and Carlos Parker Boulevard. • Alternate Bid Items include: a. 18-inch potable water line: Replace ductile iron pipe with PVC. b. 18-inch gravity wastewater line: Replace PVC with centrifugally cast reinforced fiberglass reinforced polymer mortar.
