THIS IS A BRAND NAME ONLY procurement. See attached Justification. The West Texas VA Health Care System (WTVAHCS) has a requirement to remove and install 28 outdated patient ceiling lifts, install 9 new patient ceiling lifts, and provide two (2) 825lb motor extra motors. Current ceiling lifts were installed on multiple floors of the main building in 2009. The lifts are unsupported by the manufacturer and require to be replaced. Contractor shall provide all equipment, tools, labor, material, transportation, and supervision required to deliver, remove old ceiling lifts (including rail systems) (where applicable), and install ceiling lifts. Contractor shall provide post-installation weight testing/ certification of all ceiling lifts and provide on-site end-user training/ education services. The Contractor shall have authorization to re-sell and install the proposed ceiling lift equipment. This SOW describes a Brand Name requirement for Guldmann Patient Ceiling Lifts implemented by FAR 6.302-1. See Brand Name justification posted with the RFQ. This is a competitive best value selection in which competing offeror s technical offer, and past performance will be evaluated to determine who represents the greatest benefit to the government at a price that can be determined fair and reasonable.
