Removal of the Existing Chassis: o Safely remove the existing ambulance body from its current chassis. o Inspect the ambulance body for any damage or wear that may need to be addressed prior to remounting. 2. Preparation and Installation on New Chassis: o Prepare the GMC 3500 chassis to accommodate the ambulance body. o Mount the ambulance body onto the new GMC 3500 chassis, ensuring secure attachment and alignment. o Reconnect all electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems as needed. 3. Mechanical and Electrical Upgrades: o Inspect and upgrade the electrical system, lighting, and emergency equipment to current standards. o Replace or repair all worn or outdated components, including wiring, switches, and emergency lighting. o Install a new HVAC system or refurbish the existing one to ensure proper operation. 4. Painting and Decals: o Repaint the ambulance body as needed to match the Entity’s specifications. o Apply new decals and graphics design specifications provided by the Entity. 5. Safety Compliance and Testing: o Ensure the remounted ambulance complies with all applicable standards, including but not limited to KKK-A-1822F, NFPA 1917, and other relevant federal, state, and local regulations. o Conduct a comprehensive inspection and testing process to certify that the ambulance is fully operational and meets safety standards.
