Specifications include, but are not limited to:Fort Bend County, Texas (hereafter referred to as the (“County”) seeks proposals (“Proposals or RFP”) for the procurement of one (1) or more broadband network providers to deploy broadband connectivity in Fort Bend County with a focus on the priority areasidentified in Exhibit A. In Phase 1, FBC would like to address unserved/underserved areas in Needville, Kendleton, Simonton and Thompsons. Should additional areas (Phase 2) need servicing in the future, a new solicitation would be formally advertised. The County intends to contract with the vendor(s) who shall detail the ability to design, build, install, own, operate and manage the network. The network shall include but not be limited to the following features and functionality: 2.1 Vendor’s response shall identify the specific network characteristics it plans for: 2.1.1 Minimum capacity (in terms of number of fibers and/or bandwidth capacity) for (i) the backbone or metropolitan area ring, (ii) residential users, (iii) enterprises/institutional users, (iv) government institutions/public safety users 2.1.2 Connectivity to the priority areas identified who have areas of unserved/underserved addresses, including but not limited to: Kendleton, Needville, Simonton and Thompsons 2.1.3 Any other network-wide characteristics desired.
