Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Career and Technical Education materials and/or services to be provided to Victoria Independent School District (VISD) must be aligned to the TEKS and engage students, specifically focusing on career-readiness, or college-readiness, or industry-standard certifications/credentials/licensures, or post-secondary opportunities, such as dual-credit, and/or other experiential real-world learning opportunities.; 2. Professional Development/Student Enrichment Services and Proprietary Curriculum to be provided to Victoria Independent School District (VISD) students, teachers, administrators and/or families must be aligned to VISD’s Strategic Plan and District Aims; 3. Provide materials and/or services for career and technical education programs and curriculum development in any of the program areas below: ➢ Agricultural, Food & Natural Resources; ➢ Architecture & Construction (Construction Technology); ➢ Arts, Audio/Visual Technology and Communication (Design & Multimedia Arts); ➢ Business, Marketing & Finance; ➢ Education & Training ; 4. Provide materials/and or services for CTE students which may include the sub-populations below: ➢ Disability Status; ➢ Economically Disadvantaged; ➢ Single Parents; ➢ Displaced Homemakers; ➢ Limited English Proficient; 5. Strong submissions may include educational services that: ➢ Purchase, improve, or upgrade technology in CTE programs.; ➢ Purchase, repair or replace equipment to support a new or existing CTE program.; ➢ Purchase or replace supplies that prepare students to a career or college endeavors, which might also lead to an industry-recognized license, credential, or certificate.; ➢ Purchase of materials or curriculum in either computer-based or in print format, and may include materials, such as student workbooks, manipulatives and ancillary materials.; ➢ Provide researched based instructional support and training for teachers to enhance teaching and learning opportunities as it pertains to CTE or to academic integration.
