Program Description/Work Statement To meet application eligibility for the TRS Contracted Slots Pilot Program and be considered for funding, the Applicant /Provider Qualifications must describe: • Program History Serving Infant and Toddler Children • Curriculum and Learning Standards • Family Engagement • Staffing • Resource Utilization • Classroom Capacity Building • Financial Stability B. Number of Slots Requested Provide the total number of full time slots being requested. The number of slots being requested should be at least five (5). There is no guaranteed number of slots to be awarded to a Contractor. The unit of service for direct childcare services is a full or part day enrollment. A child is enrolled to attend for a specified schedule, based on the needs of the parent and the duration of care offered by the Provider and selected 17 by the parent. Full time slots are considered scheduled care of 6-12 hours in a 24-hour day. WSA has allocated funding to provide additional assistance with opening a new classroom or adding slots to an existing classroom. On the chart provided in the application, please indicate what the approximate amount of funding you would need in order to add the slots. This funding can include furniture, materials, and supplies. Unallowable expenses would include construction or permanent changes to the building, administrative, or staff costs. The amount of funding requested will be considered when evaluating Applications. Please note that the funding for furniture, materials, and supplies is not guaranteed and will be negotiated upon final selection for contract.
