The project scope is for wind-driven rain and surface water flooding that caused extensive damage to the Central Police Riesner Complex. The Riesner Complex Project includes: 29 Artesian (Police Tire Shop), 33 Artesian (Gerson Building), 51 Riesner (Gym), 52 Riesner (Police Garage & Admin), 54 Riesner (Police Transportation), 61 Riesner (Law Enforcement), 62/62A Riesner (Communications) Houston, TX 77002. The complex is located within the 500-year flood zone (shaded Zone X) and 100-year flood zone (shaded Zone AE) on FEMA FIRM Map #48201C0690N, Map Revised on January 6, 2017. As specified in the FEMA Damage, Description, and Dimensions (DDD), this project is expected to range from minor restoration to flood mitigation and major restoration. More specifically, doors and windows will be removed and replaced in various areas in the building. Interior finishes such as drywall, ceiling grid and tile, flooring, and wall base will be removed and replaced in various areas in the building. In addition, MEP scopes are included but not limited to light fixtures, outlets, transformer, floor drains, and elevator mechanic repair. Lastly, the scope covers communications and electronic safety items such as card readers and data port replacement..
