Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Educational Service Center (ESC) Region 2, located in Corpus Christi, Texas, faces significant structural issues with the building's entry atrium due to poor-quality stucco and exposure to harsh salt air. These issues pose a serious risk to the safety of the building's occupants and require immediate attention. To address these concerns, ESC Region 2 has enlisted the expertise of Gignac Architects to develop a new facade and remedy the structural problems while also creating additional space for a large conference room in the triple-story height atrium. In addition, The ESC2 Board of Directors has adopted the Construction Manager at Risk project delivery process to ensure that the design meets the client's allocated budget and will also devise a phasing construction plan to minimize disruption to ESC Region 2's daily operations. In addition to improving the building's structural integrity, ESC Region 2 has expressed a desire for a forward-looking facade design that will bring more natural light into the building and make it more inviting to the public. The new structure will also enable ESC Region 2 to compete more effectively with unique commercial office real estate buildings and attract new tenants.
