Specifications include, but are not limited to: Weslaco Independent School District is seeking vendor qualifications for the following services: Interpreting Services for the 2022-2023 & 2023-2024 school years; effective August 1, 2022. Proposals for multiple and/or individual services will be accepted and reviewed. All services will be provided at the school which the designated student(s) attends, or in the case of students who receive Homebound Services, at the student(s) home. In compliance with State law, all contracted employees who will provide services, must complete the fingerprinting process and a criminal background check. All individuals must be properly credentialed as mandated by the Licensing Boards that govern their profession, and by the Texas Education Agency. Determination of eligibility for services to be provided must be based on the educational model of service delivery. Services to be provided must also be based on the educational model of service delivery. In addition to following rules that govern each profession licensing boards, rules established by state and federal law regarding provision of services to students with disabilities must also be followed. Requirements, approximate caseloads, and provisions are provided below.
