Specifications include, but are not limited to: Weslaco Independent School District is seeking vendor qualifications for the following services: Occupational Therapy for the 2022-2023 & 2023-2024 school years; effective August 1, 2022. Proposals for multiple and/or individual services will be accepted and reviewed. All services will be provided at the school which the designated student(s) attends, or in the case of students who receive Homebound Services, at the student(s) home. Additionally, for students attending school virtually, services may be required to be provided virtually as determined by the ARD Committee. In compliance with State law, all contracted employees who will provide services, must complete the fingerprinting process and a criminal background check. All individuals must be properly credentialed as mandated by the Licensing Boards that govern their profession, and by the Texas Education Agency. Determination of eligibility for services to be provided must be based on the educational model of service delivery. Services to be provided must also be based on the educational model of service delivery.; With respect to Occupational Therapy, the services to be provided include direct supervision, of the School District's Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants, as required by the Licensing Board. Provision of direct and consultative Occupational Therapy services for students include: 1) conducting of initial evaluations (to include a written report); 2) re-evaluations (to include a written report); 3) development of Goals and Objectives to include updating of IEP; 4) completion of Progress reports; and 5) upon request the attendance at ARD Meeting(s) and parent/staff training may be required. Completion of any paperwork associated with School Health and Related Services (SHARS) reimbursement. Any additional paperwork deemed necessary.
