Specifications include, but are not limited to: provide investment and depository services related to the investment of City funds, including the execution of securities, purchases/sales for the City’s operating and bond funds, investment advice, investment reporting, and review of the City’s Investment Policy and procedures on an annual basis. A three-year contract, with two additional oneyear extensions is anticipated. The investment of City funds is governed by Texas Government Code, Chapter 2256 – “Public Funds Investment Act” and the City’s Charter. The City’s primary investment objectives in order of importance are the preservation of principal, maintenance of sufficient liquidity, and a reasonable and competitive return.
