Specifications include, but are not limited to: Speech Language Therapy 1. Provide speech language therapy to eligible students, conduct testing to establish eligibility speech services and participate in ARD/IEP meetings. 2. Agencies must provide Speech/Language Therapists (SLPs) with current licenses from the Texas Department of State Health Services (DHS) licensing Board and must be in good standing. 3. Provide speech/language therapy to students, according to individual IEPs. 4. Conduct testing to establish eligibility for speech services adhering to the TEA and SSAISD guidelines. 5. Support assistive technology (AT) devices when those devices are part of the IEP. District training and consultation will be provided to the SLPs, when needed. 6. Effectively use the District electronic IEP system, after training provided by the District 7. Write evaluation reports that meet the guidelines and standards of the District and TEA. 8. Participate in ARD/IEP meetings of all types, adhering to the guidelines of the District. 9. Participate in the Response to Intervention (RTI) process on campuses, according to the guidelines of the District. 10. Complete referral paperwork for speech evaluations, according to the guidelines of the District. 11. Complete Early Childhood Outcome (ECO) forms for children between the ages of 5 and 5 years in order to document progress, according the specified schedule, as required by TEA and the District. 12. Maintain service logs to document the number of sessions, times, activities and progress toward mastery of the IEPs for each student on the caseload. 13. Complete progress reports of SI students, adhering to the timelines established. 14. Consult with parents, teachers, and district staff on matters related to speech language guidelines and services 15. Monitor grades, behavior and progress of speech-only students, as assigned, on campus. 16. Attend meetings when required in order to maintain knowledge and skills related to speech/language and services in SSAISD, at agreed rate. 17. Travel from location to location within District in order to maintain a regular schedule and accommodate requests for schedule changes in order to attend meetings, evaluations, and training. 18. Provide supervision to District assistant speech therapists who are District employees, upon request by the Department of Special Education Services 19. Other duties as related to the SLP role. Occupational Therapy (OT) and/or Physical Therapy (PT) 1. provide occupational/physical therapy to eligible students, conduct testing to establish eligibility for OT/PT services and participate in ARD/IEP Meetings. 2. Conduct evaluations to establish eligibility for OT/PT services, adhering to the TEA and SSAISD guidelines. 3. Provide occupational therapy/physical therapy to eligible students, according to individual IEP’s. 4. Provide the campuses/departments of Special Education Services with written documentation for each student served to include progress reports, IEP updates, goals and objectives and evaluation reports that meet the guidelines and standards of the District as requested for the purpose of documenting progress on the student IEPS’s. 5. Provide direct services to students and consultation services with teachers, parents, and school staff, students, and agencies as required as appropriate and/or required by ARD/IEP and/or Department of Special Education Services. 6. Submit documentation as required by the Department of Special Education Services for services rendered. 7. Support assistive technology (AT) device when those devices are part of the IEP. District training and consultation will be provided to the OT/PTs, when needed. 8. Effectively acquire and maintain skills required through the District’s electronic IEP system for maintenance of records after training provided by the District. 9. Participate in ARD/IEP meetings of types, adhering to the guidelines of the District. 10. Complete OT/PT evaluations based on campus referral, according to the guidelines of the District and TEA. 11. Maintain service logs to document the frequency/duration/location, which includes number of sessions, times, activities and progress toward mastery of the IEP’s for each student on the caseload as delineated in the ARD. 12. Consult with parents, teachers and District on matters related to occupational/physical eligibility and services. 13. Attend District meetings, trainings and staff development when required, in order to maintain knowledge and skills related to occupational therapy guidelines and services in SSASISD, at an agreed rate.
